Twinstar Guesthouse Observatory was set up in August 2003. Our main telescope
is a 46cm (18-inch) f/4.5 Newtonian telescope on the Dobsonian mounting and is
used for the night sky tour for our guests . The drive system is built by the
Equatorial Platforms. The optics were made by Galaxy Optics, U.S.A. and parts were
supplied by Sirius Optics. The 4.5-metre dome was built by Astro Domes.

The 18-inch telescope in the dome is used for the introduction to
the night sky (night sky tour) for our guests and not available for
guests' personal observing.
The 10-inch telescope and 100mm binoculars are on loan from a
Japanese stargazer who regularly observes with us. but will be
available free of charge to our guests who are familiar with the
workings of the telescope.
If you would like to use them for your observing, let us know in
advance. (In case other observers wish to use the same
equipment, it will have to be shared with them.) Please bring your
favourite eyepieces, as we have only a few basic eyepieces.
